Henlo! I hope everyone’s doing well!

While I’ve been working on Live2D rigging commissions and staying dry during typhoon season, I’ve also been prepping things for my isopod-themed model’s full debut!

When it comes to VTuber model debuts, there are a few things I need to do asides from the model:

  • [DONE] Live2D model reference sheet – I think this is my first time making a reference sheet for my own model. I wasn’t sure what to add in the reference sheet, but a lot of people suggested to keep flats and rendered versions separate.
  • [WIP] Mascot – I’ve finished the sketch, but I think I’ll also have to make a separate reference sheet for my mascot.
  • [DONE] Stream overlay – I decided to make a minimalistic stream overlay frame. I’ve been leaning more into having a cleaner, clutter-free stream setup to avoid confusing myself.
  • [DONE] Background – I found an OBS plugin created by @HoraiChan on X. This plugin adds a parallax effect to sources, like backgrounds. You need to separate the foreground, middleground, and background of the art for this to work.
  • [WAITING FOR ARTIST] Emotes – I’m still waiting for a specific artist to be available. I’ve been very picky with artists I want to work with. I will always prioritize artists me and my mutuals know.
  • [DONE] Animated Stream Alerts – I tried using Skeb for the first time and was able to find an artist who can make them! ;w;
  • [HAVEN’T STARTED] Stream intermission graphics – I’m honestly not sure if I want to make them on my own or commission someone, so I might keep things simple and then transition to animated intermissions once I have the time.
  • [HAVEN’T STARTED] Powerpoint/Canva presentation slides – pretty common for VTuber debuts. This is to provide credits on who did what! Although, I think my slides are going to be short because I mostly did a lot.

Here’s a blurry sneak peek of the background I’ve done. Hopefully after debut, I’ll be able to reveal everything.
